The Gundam Aerial from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury joins the MGSD line, a high-end brand that combines the iconic SD Gundam style with the advanced engineering of Master Grade kits. This release emphasizes dense mechanical detail, layered design, and dynamic articulation, bringing Aerial’s charm into a compact yet highly engineered form.
The internal frame features metallic silver parts combined with multiple molding colors, enhancing the sense of density and mechanical realism. Articulation is carefully engineered: the front armor moves upward to secure clearance for the highly jointed legs, enabling natural kneeling poses with sliding armor gimmicks for a realistic motion flow.
The camera eyes and head sensors use clear parts layered with metallic silver backing, recreating a multi-dimensional mechanical structure. Throughout the body, clear parts are paired with expansion gimmicks to reveal the Shell Unit, which can be swapped to represent the Permet Score Six state with its distinctive blue glow.
Weapon-holding stability has been improved with redesigned jointed hand parts, ensuring solid grip even during dynamic poses. Aerial’s iconic Gunbit-equipped shield is included, which can be separated into individual Bit Staves for Bit-On Form equipment across the body. By combining the kit with the separately sold weapon display base, builders can recreate the fully deployed Bit Stave formation, expanding diorama and action possibilities.
Color separation and part design allow for accurate reproduction straight out of the box without painting, while included marking stickers enhance detail across the armor and weapons. Effect parts further emphasize combat poses, such as beam saber swings and shield deployment.
